Amgen’s International Center for Professional Development offers a Scientist Mentoring and Diversity Program (SMDP) to bring more diversity to the medical technology, sciences, and consumer healthcare workforce. During this year-long mentoring program, students will be paired one-on-one with industry mentors who work in biotech and consumer healthcare companies. Students will also attend a five-day training session to learn about career opportunities and receive career development coaching.

SDMP Biotech | Philadelphia | June 1-5, 2019

SDMP MedTech | Boston | September 21-25, 2019

  • One-year career mentoring program pairs students with industry mentors working with medical devices and consumer healthcare.
  • Standing: Juniors, Seniors, B.S. Degree, M.S. Degree, or Ph.D in Engineering
  • Major: Engineering

Applicants must be from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group and be able to work in the United States. Groups include: Hispanic Americans, Pacific Islanders, African Americans, and Native Americans.
