Three speakers will share their tips and different perspectives from recruiters, consulting firms, and governmental agencies to help you to learn the best strategies for landing a job.

Speakers:
Jasmine San Nicolas: Talent Consultant, Shirley Parsons (B.A. in History)
Ms. San Nicolas has been working in recruitment for four years, and has hired employees within the manufacturing, environmental services, distribution, entertainment, food production, and logistics industries.
Currently with Shirley Parsons, Ms. San Nicolas focuses on environmental, health, and safety roles for consultancies across the United States.

Jane Besch: Principal, Geosyntec Consultants (Master’s in Business Administration; Master’s in Environmental Law & Policy; B.S. in Chemistry)
Ms. Besch has over 30 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety management and consulting.
She is a Certified Safety Professional and a Certified Permitting Professional (SCAQMD).
Her practice area is currently in the fields of air quality projects (permitting and compliance assistance), hazardous waste and safety.
She conducts multi-media audits for several of her clients and identifies and resolves issues.
Prior to joining Geosyntec, Ms. Besch spent 15+ years in the bulk liquid storage industry (midstream oil and gas) where she led EHS teams.

Jiachen Zhang: Air Resources Engineer, California Air Resources Board (CARB) (Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, B.S. in Atmospheric Science)
As a research assistant and postdoctoral scholar, Dr. Zhang conducted research on air pollution and climate modeling and published 18 peer-reviewed articles (5 as lead author) in top journals.
At CARB, she analyzes large data sets and develops emission inventory models to promote policymaking for achieving California’s clean air and climate goals.
