Acceptable Use of USC Email Services

The USC Office of the Chief Information Officer has notified the Office of International Services that some students have misused USC email services. They sent hundreds or thousands of unsolicited emails to USC staff and faculty, inquiring about on-campus jobs. These emails are “unsolicited” and violate the rules outlined in the USC Acceptable Use Policy. Moreover, sending over 500 emails in 30 days without authorization from USC is considered spam or phishing.

Violating the Acceptable Use Policy can be seen as serious wrongdoing, which can result in disciplinary actions as outlined in the USC Student Handbook.
