Luma Pictures: Technical Coordinator Position
Luma Pictures is looking for a recent graduate to join their team as a Technical Coordinator.
The Technical Coordinator works with the managers of the IT and Software teams to ensure commitments are consistently made and met. Luma’s engineering teams deliver solutions that empower our digital artists to deliver world class visual effects, and we need your help to gather insights, keep us on track, and to liaise with stakeholders throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- Triage incoming issues, and communicate with stakeholders to determine priorities and requirements
- Follow up with team members to ensure they are on track
- Set metrics to help us achieve our goals
- Create custom reports to visualize and understand our progress
- Identify inefficient workflows and propose solutions
- Comprehend complex task dependencies and devise strategies to deliver on time
- Help the team identify risks to successful project completion
- Reach out and form relationships with managers and leads throughout the company to give a voice to underrepresented departments
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience coordinating or managing engineering teams
- An innate understanding of technology
- A firm grasp of agile practices, as well as a readiness to experiment with new approaches
- A deeply analytical mind
- An obsession with customer service and a positive and friendly demeanor
- Experience using Jira or similar project management platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the VFX / Animation industry
- Background in software development or system administration
