Resource Spotlight: American Language Institute Conversation Groups

The USC American Language Institute has offered conversation groups for more than 10 years to promote English conversations between native and non-native English speakers.

Conversation groups provide non-native English-speaking students with an excellent method to strengthen English skills with a native English-speaking student in a casual environment. Participants report an improvement in their English speaking fluency, increased comfort in interacting with English native speakers, and a higher level of confidence in the English language.

Meetings take place in TCC 211. The 50 minute sessions are run on a “first-come, first-served basis.” The Fall 2018 session schedule is available here.

USC Viterbi students have access to a wide variety of resources for personal and professional development. The “Resource Spotlight” series aims to encourage Viterbi students to take advantage of everything that USC has to offer.
