Every employer has the option to select from the two registration options:
Regular: Expo Booth
Premier: Expo Booth + 3 Private Sessions
Expo Booth: Open virtual booth where you can present content, answer questions and invite students to private chats or schedule meetings from 2-5 pm. We recommend at least 2 representatives attend to present and chat with students. You can also run a recorded video for the event if you are limited to one representative. Your employer profile will be added to your booth, including job openings and other links you want students to see.
Private Sessions: Your Expo Booth, plus three private, invite-only sessions with your target demographic. These sessions will run every 20 minutes from 4-5 pm (4-4:20, 4:20-4:40, 4:40-5:00). You have the choice of hosting your booth 2-4 and your sessions 4-5, or having another rep continue to run your booth while you host the private sessions simultaneously during the last hour of the event.
Viterbi Career Connections will send a targeted invite to your desired student population, sending your unique session links. The first 19 students per session will be able to click into the session. You may also invite students to a private chat during the Expo.
Virtual Idustry Day Features:
Students Registering Interest: In Expo booths, students can log in in before the event and select the "register interest" button so that employers can know in advance which students are interested in meeting with them. This way you can view the student's profile and schedule a time to meet with them or invite them to their private session.
Viewing Resumes: Students can upload their resume to their profile under “website”. You can look at it by clicking on the internet icon. Two weeks before the event, you can log into the event and view students’ resumes ahead of time.
Inviting Students to Chat: In Expo booths, employers ca invite students to chat privately. If the student accepts, you are taken to a private virtual booth (similar to Zoom breakout rooms) to speak one-on-one with a student. One rep can do this while the other presents simultaneously on your organization to the larger student audience. *Note: Students can also invite presenters to chat, but you may decline.
Scheduling Meetings: Similar to inviting a student to chat, you can also invite a student to a private meeting. This is not an immediate chat, but a scheduled time to connect. The student can accept or decline the invitation. Once accepted, the meeting will appear in the “Agenda” section of your booth. Students will also receive an email with the private meeting details.
