VMware is excited to share VMware CodeHouse, an incredible upcoming 2018 opportunity created to support and empower women pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. VMware CodeHouse is an invitation only, multi-day, all-expense paid coding experience for female students hosted at an executive home in the heart of Silicon Valley.

During the 48-hour event, participants will team up to use OpenFaaS, and create a unique deliverable, impacting either STEM education or diversity and inclusion. OpenFaaS (Functions as a Service) is a framework for building server less functions with Docker and Kubernetes, which has first class support for metrics. Any process can be packaged as a function enabling you to consume a range of web events without repetitive boiler-plate coding. Each team will present their OpenFaaS creation to a panel of VMware judges, and the winning project will be shared with VMware’s R&D Community and featured in an open source technology blog.

You will join a team of like-minded female students ready to make an impact, experience VMware’s 100-acre campus, network with industry leaders, and exchange ideas with top technical minds.
