VMware CodeHouse is an invitation only, multi-day, all-expense-paid coding experience for female STEM students. During the 48-hour event, participants will team up to use Kubernetes to create a unique deliverable impacting STEM Education or Diversity and Inclusion.

Kubernetes (K8s) is an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. Kubernetes builds upon 15 years of experience of running production workloads, combined with best-in-class ideas and practices from the community.

Each participant will learn how to become a Kubernetes contributor and in groups, learn how to create and run applications on Kubernetes. Teams will present their creation to a panel of VMware judges, and the winning project will be shared with VMware’s R&D Community.

This exclusive experience brings together a team of women who are ready to make an impact and tackle a technical challenge that engages and gives back to the community. Students will experience VMware’s office and unique culture, network with industry leaders and exchange ideas with top technical minds at this special event that is unlike any other.
