XCOM Labs PhD Researcher – Advanced Wireless Communications (Summer 2021 – remote)

XCOM Labs and the Wireless Engineering team seek a current Phd student (EE, CE or CS) specializing in wireless communication systems with a strong mathematical background. This is a remote internship will be working under the direction of Tamer Kadous and his team of wireless pioneers.

PhD researchers will contribute to leading edge technology, working alongside experts in their field. They get to invent and create. They get to solve complex problems using their world class education and research experience. Best of all for PhD students, they walk away with invaluable work experience, some serious cash in their pockets and a broader networking their field of study.

Some of the problems you may help our team solve include:

  • Advanced wireless communications system algorithm design in 5G NR (sub-6 or mmW)
  • Link or system-level analysis and performance simulation platforms
  • Algorithm implementation and verification on a full stack wireless cloud-RAN system in the lab.
