Career & Internship Expo: Demo's

February 5th and 6th, 2024

10 am - 4 pm

A Product Demo is an opportunity to showcase a product or service on-campus to engineering students. Each session is 1-hour long. We recommend limiting demo time and allowing for ample time for networking at the end of your session.

Key features:

A Product Demo is not a Trojan Talk, it includes bringing a product to campus. Please be prepared to provide a description of your product after registering.
You are responsible for bringing your product to the location, setting it up, and removing it from the room. For those requiring internet, Wifi is available On-Campus through USC Guest Wireless.
Specify what majors and class levels you would like to meet and target your outreach.
Share a product or service for students that showcases your unique brand.
Collect student resumes for recruitment.

Login to Viterbi Career Gateway > Events > Career Fairs > Career & Internship Expo to register. Select the activities you would like to participate in and input the number of representatives that will attend.

Every Career Expo Demo includes:

Dedicated marketing for your session through the Viterbi Career Connections communications, including: Email Campaign, Newsletter and Social Media.
Sharing your product with students in a group format.
A dedicated area with chairs and VCC staff to manage student check-in and flow.

Pricing:

For-Profit: $100
Non-Profit/Government: $100

Format:

Location - On-Campus: On-campus events will be located in Michelson Hall. You will receive an email and a calendar invitation outlining your specific location. A map to the building is on the "logistics" tab.
Time: You will have 1 hour to demo your product and answer student questions. We encourage you to leave the bulk of your time to questions and engagement with the student attendees.
Your Product: You are responsible for bringing your product to the location, setting it up, and removing it from the room. For those requiring internet, Wifi is available On-Campus through USC Guest Wireless.
Questions & Answers: We advise you to allow plenty of time (at least 15 minutes) for students to ask questions and connect with you. We welcome you to stay to chat with students as long as you like, but After your allotted time has passed you may be asked to move your conversation outside.

After you register for your on-campus Demo:
- We will email you the next steps with instructions and ask for any additional information.
- Location - On-Campus: On-campus events will be located in Michelson Hall. A map to the building is below.
- A parking permit code will be provided to you, a maximum of 2 cars are allowed per session. Provide the code to the parking attendant to receive your parking pass.
- You'll receive a calendar invitation with the details of your talk and how to access the room you'll be presenting in. We recommend you share this with all presenters to have in their calendars.

On the date and time of your Demo:
- Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your start time to allow for parking, walking, finding the room, and set up.
- Enter campus at the Downey Way entrance - on the cross street of Vermont Ave. and W 36th Place.
- Provide the parking code to the parking attendant for the day to receive your parking pass.
  - If you do not get the parking pass to leave on your dashboard, you will get a ticket. Please only enter the Downey Way entrance and check in using the code provided to you.
- Enter the parking garage on the right hand side after entering the Downey Way parking entrance to campus.
- Check-in at your Demo location.

Safe Return to Campus

USC has taken several significant actions to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, similar to steps the city of Los Angeles and other local municipalities have announced.
