Join the ActOne Group Industries, a group that builds and deploys AI agents and automations that run real business workflows for enterprise clients. Our platform, Foundry, lets teams design, build, and ship AI applications and agents — and we work side-by-side with clients to get those solutions into production. We’re a small, fast-moving team where the work you do reaches customers quickly.
About the Role
This is a Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) internship — but you don’t need a traditional engineering background. You need sharp business instincts, genuine curiosity about AI, and the drive to learn how to build.
Forward Deployment Engineers sit at the intersection of client and product. You’ll learn how to translate a client’s business problems into working AI agents and applications, build them on Foundry using Claude Code, and help clients do the same. A big part of the summer is helping us design and build a client training program — alongside our AI Lead — that teaches customers how to build their own AI applications and agents from scratch.
If you’ve been the person who picks up new tools fast, builds things on the side, and likes being in the room with customers, this is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with clients to understand their workflows, goals, and where AI can create real value
- Learn to build AI agents and applications on the Foundry platform using Claude Code
- Help design and build our client-facing training program alongside the AI Lead — the curriculum that teaches clients how to build and deploy their own AI solutions
- Support client onboarding and the hands-on deployment of solutions
- Get deep, practical exposure to the leading AI tools — Claude, OpenAI, and the broader stack — and develop strong judgment about when and how to use each
- Document patterns, write clear guides, and turn what works into repeatable playbooks
Who You Are
- Strong business fundamentals — you understand how companies actually operate and make decisions
- Hands-on AI exposure — you’ve used tools like Claude and OpenAI extensively, ideally building real things with them, not just experimenting
- A fast, self-directed learner — comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out without a manual
- A clear communicator — you can hold your own in a client conversation and explain technical ideas in plain terms
- Prior startup or technology experience (required) — you’ve worked at a startup or tech company, founded something, or built and shipped your own product. You know what it’s like to move fast in an environment without a playbook.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program
