This is a misson-driven initiative that empowers the next generation of professionals to contribute to the safest, most efficent aerospace systems in the world.
FAA internship participants will:
- Work alongside industry‑leading experts
- Gain real‑world experience in aerospace operations, policy, and technology
- Engage with FAA Regional Facilities
- Meet executive leadership, tour FAA facilities, and enjoy hands‑on aerospace experiences
- Build connections and potentially transition into long‑term FAA careers (no guarantee, but eligible if criteria are met)
Fields of Focus:
- Computer Science / Cybersecurity
- Data Science
- Engineering
- Mathematics / Statistics
- Other related fields of study
Eligibility Highlights
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Selective Service Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Must live in the U.S. or a U.S. territory
- Must meet the definition of a student with proof of enrollment
- Successful completion of a background investigation required
- Official transcripts required before start date
