With the end of the year approaching, and the BCLA team reflecting on all that we have accomplished in 2022, we would like to express our gratitude to our entire network for their continued support of BCLA’s missions and for having made 2022 a huge success. Ideation Panel and Networking Mixer
BCLA, Nucleate, and Hero House would like to invite you to join us at our upcoming Ideation Panel which will be taking place at Hero House at HyeRise in Glendale, CA on November 10th!
This panel will feature experts with diverse experiences in ideation and commercialization, who will explore how new ideas are developed and expanded upon in the biotech and life sciences space. This year the panel will feature Lily Yang, Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA, Lucy Abgaryan, Co-Founder and CEO at GrittGene Therapeutics, Llewellyn Cox, CEO of LabLaunch, and Armine Galstyan, Principal at SmartGateVC.
Attendees will have the chance to connect with founders, young professionals, and VCs during the panel discussion and networking mixer!

Amgen Info Session – In-person at UCLA and USC
BCLA will be hosting Amgen at both USC’s Health Science campus and at the UCLA campus for in person info sessions on their Commercial Leadership & Insights Program internship for Summer 2023.
During the 10-12 week training program graduate interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a career at the intersection of science and business through Amgen’s Commercial Data & Analytics organization.

BCLA Biotech Summit Coverage
On October 15th, BCLA hosted our 8th Annual Biotech Summit which focused on the “Future of Biotech in Los Angeles.” With 8 event sponsors, 12 speakers, 24 mentors, and over 150 attendees, BCLA was able to connect the Los Angeles community with current CEOs and professionals who discussed how the biotech landscape is being shaped and what it will look like in the coming years as LA becomes the next global biotech hub!
