Safety Engineer Senior – Level 3

Description:Develops and maintains safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions, using knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, and industrial health and safety laws. Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment, facilities, to determine if all safety precautions have been included. Tours plant to inspect safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence.A level 3 employee Typically has 5 – 10 years of professional experience

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a Safety Discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Experience in establishing and maintain safety programs for lock Out Tag Out, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Contractor Management, Confined Space and Machine Guarding
Desired Skills:
Masters Degree from an accredited college in a Safety Discipline. Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Masters Degree from an accredited college in a Safety Discipline. Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $87,600 – $165,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
