Entry Level Structural Engineer – Santa Ana (13601)

Summary

  • Design and detailing of concrete, masonry, steel & timber buildings and waterfront structures
  • Prepare calculations and drawings under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Up to 10% Travel Required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a focus in structures
  • Coursework in structural analysis, concrete design and steel design with minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Knowledge of local and national building codes
  • 0 to 2 years experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit (or willingness to become proficient)
  • EIT Certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, organized, and driven to learn and excel
  • Ability to perform field work, climb ladders, and lift 25 lbs

The ideal candidate may also possess the following qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering
  • Coursework in timber, masonry, foundation and bridge design
  • Knowledge of CBC, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, AISC 341, ACI 318, ACI 530, NDS & AASHTO Codes
  • Experience in RISA-3D, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, SAFE & MathCAD
  • Desire to pursue PE & SE license
