The threats and challenges facing the Department and the nation are complex and constantly evolving. Now more than ever, DHS must recruit, develop, and retain a talented and diverse workforce. Over the next several weeks, DHS will host webinars for potential and current applicants to provide information on DHS career opportunities, direct hire authorities, veterans’ preference and other hiring authorities for veterans, effective resume writing, how to create a profile on USAJOBS, and how to make a resume searchable.
