Question: Who inspires you?
Answer: My grandfather was the happiest person I ever knew. He always managed to find the silver lining in any situation because he had to overcome so much in his life that he never sweat the small stuff. He was a first-generation Japanese-American. When WWII broke out, he was discriminated against, his family home and farm were taken by the government, and his family were forced into concentration camps. He enlisted in the military and fought as a member of the 442nd. When he was injured in the war and sent back to the States, he met his wife, my grandmother, in a concentration camp in Arizona. While he wouldn’t necessarily look back at that time with fondness, he was always thankful that through that series of events he met the love of his life.

Q: Where’s your favorite place in the world?
A: Anywhere hanging out with my family and friends.

Q: If you could be any animal, which would you be?
Answer: A cat – I love to take naps, I can be a little spunky at times, but I mostly just chill

Q: What’s your favorite movie?
A: Princess Bride, inconceivable!

Q: What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
A: Anything that someone else cooked!

Q: If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
A: Australia, crikey!

Q: What’s a fun fact about you that no one knows?
A: I once won a T-shirt folding contest.

Q: If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
A: Pink Flamingo
