Is the Career & Internship Expo different from the Viterbi Career & Internship Fair?
No, the Fair is a part of the Career & Internship Expo and not a stand-alone event. The Career & Internship Expo refers to all activities hosted throughout the week, including Demo's, Trojan Talks, Career Fair, and After-Expo Interviews.
Are the Career & Internship Expo events on different days?
Yes, activities occur on different days throughout the week. Some are hosted simultaneously, like Demo's and Trojan Talks. The Career & Internship Fair and on-campus interviews are hosted on separate days. The schedule of activities is below:
- Monday & Tuesday: Trojan Talks and Demo's
- Wednesday: On-Campus Career & Internship Fair
- Thursday: On-Campus Interviews
Are all activities On-Campus?
No, to accommodate all employers, some activities are offered virtually, and others are on-campus.
Trojan Talks may be hosted on-campus or virtually, while the Demo's, Career & Internship Fair and on-campus interviews after the Expo will be hosted on-campus.
Visiting Campus - What are the COVID-19 guidelines?
USC has taken several significant actions to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, similar to steps the city of Los Angeles and other local municipalities have announced.
What should I bring with me to the Career & Internship Expo?
- We suggest that in addition to booth items and handouts, you bring paperweights, hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses with you. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided. (You may request vegan and gluten-free options during registration.)
Is the Career & Internship Expo indoors?
Trojan Talks & Demo's - On-Campus activities will be hosted indoors in classrooms / event spaces. You will receive specific locations after you select your activities.
Virtual Trojan Talks will be hosted on Zoom.
Career & Internship Fair - The Career Fair is located outdoors at the University of Southern California’s campus. Registration includes a sun umbrella, but you should plan for the outdoor event, as it is rain or shine.
What if I only want to table at the Fair?
You can select only to table at the Career & Internship Fair from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. When you register for the Career & Internship Expo, you have the option of selecting all of the activities that you would like to participate in.
How many representatives does a company have to bring to participate?
You can bring up to 10 representatives for the Career & Internship Expo, but we generally recommend the following:
To participate in the Fair: At least two representatives.
To participate in the Fair and other events like a Product Demo to Trojan Talk: At least three-four representatives.
How many Engineering students attend the Career & Internship Expo?
The Career & Internship Expo is outdoors in an uncontrolled space, so we cannot provide an exact attendee count. However, based on the previous Career & Internship Expos, we have seen upwards of 3,000 Viterbi engineering students attend.
Registration:
How do I register for a Career & Internship Expo Event?
Our registration includes all of the Career & Internship Expo offerings in one form for your convenience. To register:
- Click “Register” on the Career & Internship Expo Event page.
- Login and navigate to Events > Career Fairs.
You may register for all Expo activities in one convenient form by selecting them on the Days/Events Attending buttons.
- After selecting your desired events indicate your preferred session time.
- Submit your registration form.
- VCC staff will reach out to you to confirm your selected Career & Internship Expo Events.
What if another employer already reserved the event and time I selected?
If an activity time has "BOOKED" in front of it, it means another employer has already reserved that time. Please only select a time that does not have "BOOKED" in front of it.
After you submit your registration, a member of the VCC staff will reach out to you to confirm your Career & Internship Expo selections. If the selection you made is unavailable, they will provide you with alternative times. You may choose to take the alternative time or remove that event from your registration.
If I have already registered for the Fair, how do I add other Career & Internship Expo events?
We can easily update your registration for you. Email vcareers@usc.edu to add additional Career & Internship Expo events, and a member of our staff will reach out to confirm your selections and availability.
How much does the Career & Internship Expo cost?
The Career & Internship Expo has pricing tiers, depending on your registration and employer type. Check the "Pricing" tab or each individual page (linked above) to review pricing by activity.
New employers receive $100 off of their registration! Email vcareers@usc.edu for details and to have the discount applied to your registration.
Can I only participate in a Trojan Talk or Demo and NOT the Career & Internship Fair?
No - Every registration must have a minimum of the Career & Internship Fair registration. Add-on activities are optional.
Does it cost extra to have an event added to my Career & Internship Expo registration?
Yes – Your Career & Internship Expo registration includes Career Fair and any add-on activities you would like to have. For pricing, see above.
Does it cost extra for an additional table?
Yes – You may select to add additional tables under the “Extras” section of your registration form. There is a $100 fee to add a table.
What is included in my Career & Internship Expo registration?
Every Career & Internship Expo registration includes:
- Breakfast
- Refreshments
- Boxed lunch for up to 10 representatives
- 6-Foot Table with Sun Umbrella
- Parking Permit for Up to 3 Vehicles
- Career Fair entry for up to 10 Organization Representatives
What is the deadline to register for a Career & Internship Expo event?
The deadline to register for Spring 2023 Career Expo is September 13th, 2023. While Viterbi Career Connections occasionally allows late registrations, there is a $100 late registration fee for registrations received after the deadline.
How do I register after the deadline?
You can email vcareers@usc.edu to have the registration temporarily re-opened for you to register online. VCC will give a time frame for you to log in and register.
How do I cancel my registration?
Cancellations must be made in writing to vcareers@usc.edu before the close of business at least seven (7) days before the event. Any cancellations after that date will be billed for the full registration fee.

When is payment for the Career & Internship Expo due?
Payment is due on or before the day of the Career Fair– September 27th, 2023
Can I pay after the due date?
Yes – Payments after the due date are subject to a $100 late processing fee.
I don’t remember if I paid for my registration; how do I know?
You can view your Career & Internship Expo invoice anytime by going to your employer account on the Viterbi recruiting platform:
Go to the “My Account” section > Invoices > View your unpaid invoices. If an invoice has a balance of 0.00, it has been paid.
You will also receive a logistics email before the Career & Internship Expo, and in the email, you will be notified if you have an existing balance.
Can I pay online?
You can pay for your invoice by going to your employer account on the Viterbi recruiting platform > “My Account” section > Invoices > Select the invoice by clicking on the invoice hyperlink > select “Pay by Credit Card”
I see an “ERROR!” message every time that I try to pay for my registration. Why?
Our online merchant currently only accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If you are paying by American Express, you must complete and return a one-time Credit Card Authorization Form. Email vcareers@usc.edu for the form and instructions on how to complete your payment.
Can I pay by check?
Yes – Please address checks to Viterbi Career Connections and send them to the below address. Allow us to receive and process the check for at least one week to avoid a late payment fee.

I have already paid for my Career & Internship Expo registration, but I can no longer make it. Can I receive a refund?
For events with a fee, including Viterbi Career & Internship Expo, refunds will only be issued when cancellation is made in writing to vcareers@usc.edu before the close of business at least seven business days in advance of the event, or as indicated in the Cancellation Policy on the event page. Any cancellations after that date will be liable for the full registration fee.
Logistics:
I haven’t received any logistic emails; how do I know where to go at the Career & Internship Expo?
Viterbi Career Connections sends logistics emails for the Career & Internship Expo in the weeks leading up to the event. The emails are sent to the email address that was used in your registration form.
If you registered for the Career & Internship Expo using a generic recruiting email, please check that email for the Career & Internship Expo logistics email. If you cannot find the email, please email us at vcareers@usc.edu, and we will forward it to you.
How do I ship my fair materials to USC for the Career & Internship Fair?
All materials must be sent to Speedy’s Moving Company. Send all materials to:

What is the deadline to ship my fair materials?
- Boxes, packages, and display materials may arrive at Speedy’s up to ONE MONTH before the event date.
- The deadline for materials to arrive at Speedy's is ONE WEEK before the event date.
Where do I park for the Career & Internship Fair?
Parking is located at the Grand Avenue Parking Structure, just off campus on Jefferson Blvd. and Hope St. Three (3) pre-paid parking spaces are included per registration. Additional permits are $15/car.
When you arrive in the morning, let the attendant know you are here for the Viterbi Career & Internship Fair and provide your company name. You will be given a parking pass.
How do I get from the parking structure to the Fair?
You can use the shuttle on the ground floor of the Parking Center. Shuttles will have paper signs posted in the front windows with the event name. Shuttles will drop you off in front of employer check-in on-campus.
How do I locate the employer check-in at Career & Internship Expo?
The shuttle will drop you off in front of 34th and Jefferson, you will walk directly on-campus and follow to the signs to employer check-in.
What is the shuttle schedule?
Shuttles will run every 15-20 minutes from 8:00 – 11:00 AM and again from 2:00 – 4:00 PM between the Grad Avenue Parking Structure and 34th and Jefferson.
What if I am taking rideshare services to the Career & Internship Expo?
If you are using Uber/Lyft, you may use the address of the University Club located at

to be dropped off near employer check-in.
Where will my booth be located?
Employer booths are placed on Trousdale. You will be given your booth location at employer check-in on the morning of the Career & Internship Expo, and volunteers will be available to walk you to your booth.

Are Breakfast and lunch included in the Career & Internship Expo?
Yes – You can enjoy a breakfast buffet (including coffee) once you check-in and you will receive your lunch tickets at employer check-in.
What if I have food restrictions?
You can request a vegetarian lunch option in your Career & Internship Expo registration, under the “Extras” section of the form. If you require a vegan or gluten-free option, contact us at vcareers@usc.edu, and we will arrange to have them available for you.
When and where is lunch served at the Career & Internship Expo?
Lunch is served at 11:30 am at two locations:
- Employer check-in booth
- Information booth
I don’t have a lunch ticket – How do I receive lunch?
We order lunches based on the numbers provided in each employer’s registration form. If you bring more representatives than you listed in your registration, we will begin serving lunches to non-ticketed representatives at 12:30 pm. These will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
Can I bring my support animal with me to the Career & Internship Expo?
While service animals are permitted on campus, we cannot allow support animals at the Career & Internship Expo.
Are there nursing areas near the Career & Internship Expo for mothers?
There is a designated space in the women’s locker room at the Lyon Center and TCC 315 in the Tutor Campus Center. The room in Tutor Campus Center is closest for anyone requiring this space.
